The Little Mermaid Mouse by R. John Wright
Introducing The Little Mermaid - Sixth in R. John Wright's exciting newFairy Tale Mice Collection, a series of beloved characters from classic fairy tales brought to life in mouse form.
The Little Mermaid is a well-known fairy tale by beloved Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. One of his most haunting stories, it tells about a young mermaid willing to give up her life in the sea and her identity as a mermaid to gain a human soul and the love of a human prince. The tale was first published in 1837 and has been a favorite of children and adults ever since.
Created in the form of a mouse, The Little Mermaid (... or Mermouse!) is made of fine mohair plush with realistic shading, resin hands, German glass eyes and inset whiskers. Measuring just 3 inches tall, she is jointed at her neck and shoulders. A built-in metal stand provides effortless display. The Little Mermaid comes outfitted in a beautiful mermaid costume made of pleated silk fabric woven with metallic threads. Her fishtail is covered by English bobbinette netting embellished with silver thread, tiny crystals and seed pearls.
The Littel Mermaid is produced in Bennington, Vermont in a worldwide limited edition of only 150 pieces. Each mouse comes enclosed in a deluxe presentation box with the accompanying signed and numbered certificate of authenticity and the forms for registration. R. John Wright's Fairy Tale Mice Collection will include the following characters: Little Red Riding Hood, Tom Thumb, Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, Aladdin and The Little Mermaid.
