Steiff Claire`s Lion has been designed for the Steiff 2020 collection.
Every year one important person for Steiff can decide which piece from their childhood will be reproduced.
This time the honour was for Claire Meissel, the granddaughter of Richard Steiff.
She wanted the big fiercely lion to be reproduced.
This lion is 38 cm. / 15.2" tall and made of the finest Schulte mohair.
His paw pads are airbrushed.
He has brown pupilled safety eyes and a pinkish-brown embroidered nose.
He is limited to 1000 pieces and is wearing a gold plated "Button in Ear" with an elephant Motif.
