This bear is made specially for the department store Karstadt in Dortmund, Müllheim and Bochem.
Those cities are situated in the famous industrial area called the Ruhr area (after the city Ruhr).
This area is well known for his coal mining. Around 10 years ago there were still 300 active coal mines.
In the best days of the coal mining around 600,000 people worked the mines.
Kumpel is a German word for miner.
This bear is 15 cm. tall and limited to  1.500 pieces. He comes with his lorry and part of the track.
